DD’s Chick and Cat Shack LLC specializes in authentic Southern fried flavor, bringing bold taste and tradition to every bite. Founded in 2004 by husband-and-wife team David and Crystal McClendon, our journey began right from our home kitchen, built on passion, hard work, and a love for serving others.

Over the years, we proudly served troops at Fort Irwin, then expanded our reach by securing contracts with major organizations including the world-famous Rose Bowl, UCLA, and SpaceX. From corporate events to celebrity catering, we’ve been honored to serve guests across a wide range of communities and occasions.

In February 2023, we debuted our food truck—affectionately known as “The Black Mobile”—bringing our signature flavors directly to the streets. Now in 2026, we’re excited to take things even further by launching delivery to your home or office. Yes—we come to you.
